RIM’s relaunched app store goes live as 'BlackBerry World', music and video sections coming soon

RIM’s app store- known as BlackBerry App world earlier has been relaunched as BlackBerry World. The revamped app store focuses on music and video content, according to previous reports. Changes are a part of the company’s preparations for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 OS launch, scheduled at the end of this month.

RIM had recently announced that it had more than 15000 BlackBerry 10 app submissions in just two days. The company claims the improved app store is a “one-stop shop for all of your mobile entertainment needs.”

Existing BlackBerry users will see the new store name within the next 24 hours. There are no official confirmations on what the music and video sections have got to offer.
