Sony plans software upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for 2012 Xperia smartphones

Sony Xperia smartphones of year 2012- will finally receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in this year. :)



Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V – these smartphones will start to receive Jelly Bean during February and March.

Next, Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go will be upgraded from the end of March. Then Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will follow in the subsequent weeks.

Sad news for the users having Xperia U, Xperia miro, Xperia tipo and Xperia sola- the decision has been taken not to upgrade these smartphones beyond Android 4.0. :(

Please note that upgrade availability and rollout timing will vary by market and customer variants.
