Over 4 lakh Android malware detected in Jan-March, as per Quick heal quarterly threat report for January-March, 2014. As we know the Android is growing very fast as compared to other platforms. The Android is open source and any company can sell a phone by installing a customizable version of Android in their phones.
Also, there are many ROMS available in the market which provide new features, which are not available in stock ROM. So users install the custom ROM to get the new features.
As per Quick heal most of the malware comes from the third party applications which are unauthorized & un-monitored and available in the market or on the internet. "Such adware proves to be extremely dangerous as it steals confidential data and often goes undetected by the users," the report said.
